“Working with the smaller kids, it’s so fun that you just want to be here. It’s like my second home away from home.”
Vivalyn Jones, Legacy Leader
Each year hundreds of people give their time to help us achieve our mission. We seek individuals and groups to help as one-time volunteers or in an ongoing capacity. The safety of our volunteers and students is of utmost importance to us, and for now, many of our volunteer opportunities are on hold.
****We will be seeking volunteer assistance with specific projects that respond to community needs during this unique time. ****
If you are a new volunteer for us, please start by clicking the link below! We will respond to your application as soon as possible.
We are seeking adults age 55 and better, who love and value children and have a story or skill to share! Examples of Legacy Leader projects include collaging, story sharing, gardening, science demos, and art projects.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Legacy Leaders assisted at our monthly special events or with one of our after school programs one afternoon a week. We look forward to returning to these activities, but for the time being, we invite our Legacy Leaders to join in for class activities and games virtually using a link we will email to you.
“Once we started planting, 'I want to help! I want to help!' All the kids loved it. They really like to do things with adults -- they want to be involved with us.”
Debbie Doggett, Legacy Leader
