TEACHING ARTIST SPOTLIGHT

WE ARE SHINING A LIGHT ON THE ARTISTS WHO BRING OUR MISSION TO LIFE.

Maggie Armendariz (She/her)

Maggie is a Teaching Artist at Blanton Elementary where she goes above and beyond for her students. Recently, she taught herself how to create stop motion animation with her kiddos, despite not having any prior knowledge in that field.

She creates an environment where her students aren’t afraid to ask questions and look to one another for the answers.

Maggie exemplifies Creative Action’s approach to student led learning.
