Hey friends! We’re keeping up our spirits and creative resilience in 2017 with our February Community Art Sunday! This month’s theme is “Confident Leaders” This event is FREE and family fantastic.

It’s more important than ever to be confident leaders who can create and share positive power and put community and compassion first!

Come on out and…

• Witness Courage in Action – Interactive Theatre Showcase (Ages 6+)! Activate strategies for taking action in tough situations.
• Brave our creative challenges – complete challenges and games that require creativity and teamwork. Activities include “Minefield,” “Turn the Bucket” & “Group Draw”
• Transform in our Heroes Photobooth! – A portrait-like booth inspiring participants to bring out the leader within and create unique messages to inspire others.
• “Swimmy” – Interactive Storytelling (Ages 2-7)
• Speak your truth in our Community Leadership Poem – taking messages created in the photobooth to create a collaborative poem
• Walk the Heroes Gallery – a “learning wall” with profiles and portraits of diverse leaders in our history
• Watercolor Body-Tracing Self-Portraits – work together to trace the outlines of your loved ones and create a full body self portraits that illustrate strength, resolve, and empathy
• Experience Youth Rise Texas, youth who advocate for racial and economic justice through live performance and dialogue.
Sustainable Food Center Preview Showcase – Learn more about SFC and participate in demos of upcoming cooking & gardening classes.
