Thank You for Donating to Our Year-End Campaign!
Thanks to all who donated to #EveryoneBelongs, our year-end campaign focused on ending bullying in the Central Texas area. Our partners at Alamo Drafthouse also contributed with a $5,000 matching pledge.
Thanks to our incredible supporters, we raised $37,116 toward programming that fights hate and supports values like empathy, compassion, and self-confidence. That’s well over our original goal of $30,000!
Here’s what those funds support:
- In-school, interactive theatre programs like Courage to Stand and Courage In Action, which teach students, through engaging storytelling, the crucial anti-bullying skills of emotion management, resiliency, and empathy. These programs directly addressing bullying by focusing on historical acts of intervention, including moments in the Holocaust, the Civil Rights Movement, and the civil rights leader César Chávez.
- Parent workshops that address the importance of talking to students about bullying, including what to do as a bystander in a bullying situation.
- The Changing Lives Youth Theatre Ensemble which tours middle schools teaching students about healthy relationships, emotional and physical abuse, and mental health issues related to such abuse. This ensemble is made up of teens who are also impacted by the process of developing and performing original plays about important social issues.
- All Creative Action programming, which is designed to impact both bullies and bullying victims, as well as bystanders, by teaching the importance of skills like empathy, celebration of difference, collaboration, resilience, leadership, ability to work with others, and emotion management.

Thank you again to everyone who gave and to our community at large! With these funds, we hope to make 2020 the best year yet in combatting hate and harassment in our community. We could not do the work we do without you.
