Creative Action Is One of 250 Finalists for Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good Program
We are proud to announce we’ve been selected as a finalist in Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good Program. Now we need your support! Vote for Creative Action at www.100carsforgood.com on November 11.
Creative Action delivers programs to over 18,000 youth in seven school districts. Our After School, In the Classroom, and Community programs require that interactive sets, larger-than-life puppets, arts materials and costumes are available at hundreds of sites every year. A Creative Action car would mean efficient—and previously impossible—delivery of materials to sites throughout Central Texas.
Four Teen Programs bring groups of 30 young adults from all walks of life—and all geographic areas of Austin—together twice a week to create peer theatre and public art. Transportation to rehearsals has always been a challenge, especially for low-income youth; and youth tour their work across Texas to thousands every year. This outreach is unsustainable without transportation for performing youth, set pieces, sound equipment, props and costumes.
Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program will award 100 vehicles over the course of 50 days to 100 deserving nonprofit organizations based on votes from the public. Winning organizations will use the Toyota vehicles to help expand their reach and missions within their communities.
Please support Creative Action on November 11. Voting will take place at www.100carsforgood.com.
