Craft-A-Long: Designing a Recycled Bird Feeder (Day 3-5)
DAY 3: Create
Youngers (K-3rd) & Upper Elementary (3rd-6th)
Begin to create the bird feeder using materials listed on the materials list or anything else you would like to add.
DAY 4: Finish
Youngers (K-3rd) & Upper Elementary (3rd-6th)
- Test bird feeder for strength (glue should be dried completely)! If not, add more glue or structure to make it sturdy.
- Locate a place to hang the bird feeder using twine find a branch that could hold the weight of the bird feeder/bird or a branch about 2 inches in diameter.
DAY 4: Finish
Youngers (K-3rd)
Draw a picture or take a photo of a bird that visited your bird feeder and share on Creative Action’s social media!
Upper Elementary (3rd-6th)
Research:
- Does Central Texas always have the same (species) types of birds?
- What birds migrate to Texas and in what season(s)?
Draw:
- Draw a picture of a bird that migrates to Texas or is a Texas Native Bird.
