How does a nonprofit that helps students improve their emotional and social skills prove that it’s working? A simple survey at the end of a program can ask students how they feel, but without information on how that plays out in the rest of their lives, the nonprofit can’t adjust its programs to work better.
Those are the issues being addressed by a new program in Austin called Good Measure. Part training and part discussion, the program gathers nonprofits and foundations to exchange information and learn best practices in data collection.
