We measure our impact through a platform of original and external, validated assessment tools that evaluate youth outcomes related to creative expression, social and emotional learning, 21st century skills, and social justice education. We also utilize the national Weikart Center for Youth Program Quality Assessments to deliver the highest-quality programs aligned with best practices in positive youth development.

School-based Programs

During the 2016-17 school year, we provided 9,600+ students at 38 campuses with 2,200 hours of arts enrichment programming. Here’s what surveyed teachers saw as a result:

believe their students will be more confident in expressing their feelings

think their students will be more accepting of people different from them

saw students practice new strategies for self-regulation of emotions

Out-of-School Time Programs

In that same year, 2,500 students across 56+ sites received 27,000+ programming hours. Of those surveyed:

said they can use art to express their thoughts and feelings now

said the program helped them build their confidence

participate in conflict resolution strategies to work towards peaceful solutions to problems
